1.    Wonderful warm atmosphere

“Restaurant was located in a back lane and had a great warm atmosphere. Had the dinner set. Will come back again but would try the lunch”. – (Flabby F – Singapore, February 2017).

“After 9 days of Vietnamese food for lunch and dinner the family asked if we could eat some other type of food. We found this restaurant in the Lonely Planet and our hotel’s concierge confirmed that it was good. It is lovely and set in the inner courtyard of an old building. The decor is calming using almost exclusively black and white”. (Max4u dhaka, tới nhà hàng tháng 1/2017).

2. Exquisite cuisine, superb

“My wife and I came here on the last night of our Hanoi trip and we were pleasantly surprised. The reviews are consistently high but some dishes truly deserve special mention. The duck confit was superb (skin lovely and crisp, not too salty, deboned yet still with shape intact) and the creme brûlée faultless (a delicate layer of caramelised sugar on top of the lovely creme). The starters were also delicious. No wonder we saw / heard quite a few French families the night we visited”. – (GrandparentsGoGlobal, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Visited February 2017).

“In january 2017 we had dinner at La Badiane. It was perfection. This place doesn’t have a Michelin star, but it should. The service was top notch, and the food was fresh and creative. I had the duck and it was flavorful, i licked my plate clean!” – (WanderlustCrave, New York City, New York, Visited January 2017).

“Near Ga Hanoi train station and our Mercure Hotel, we stumbled upon La Badiene via Google, but what a stumble it was. After two weeks traveling in Vietnam and sampling the country’s fantastic cuisine, we thought we’d try some of the “colonial” cuisine. Atmosphere, service, taste, and attitude were all superb. We chose the course degustation menu, which included a seafood bisque Amuse Bouche, a marble foie gras and grilled tuna entrees, grilled scallops and tenderloin mains, a three cheese cheese roll cheeseboard, and a triple dessert of fruit, tiramisu and crème brule. Fantastic!!!! Highlight of our Hanoi visit. We went back, but they were closed on Sundays”. – (Tjdunne, Brisbane, Australia, Visited January 2017).

3. Peaceful and romantic with classical music

“The menu had some lovely options which suited us that evening. Service was good and we enjoyed a string quartet that played through our dinner at a noise level that still invited conversation. We would return on another trip to Hanoi”. – (P L, Visited January 2017).

4. Professional Staff

“The place is very nice, the staff welcoming and friendly and the food is great. We had different courses and they were all delicious.” – (Max4u dhaka, Visited January 2017).

“Wow! We didn’t expect to find a gem like La Badiane in the back streets of Hanoi. Both food and service were superb. Servings were ultra generous and staff even sourced an ointment for our child suffering from mozzie bites. The setting of the restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed every mouthful of our four course set meal. Cannot wait to return!”. – (Cenk Y, Brisbane, Australia – January 2017).

5. Excellent value for the money.

Total bill (for two): USD105 (for the four course dinner menu plus 3 glasses of white wine and a bottle of sparkling water). This is seriously good value for food as delicious as this”.

“Loved our experience. Every dish was really very high quality! Great combinations of flavors, excellent staff and presentation! The atmosphere is very sophisticated. It is not cheap but we thought it was well worth the money!”. – (Tjitske F, Visited January 2017).
