The 5 Food Groups to Get Lean & Healthy? (P2)

3) Fruits

The non-technical meaning is a structure of a plant that contains seeds and is sweet and edible in its raw state.

• Apples
• Apricots
• Avocado
• Grapes

With their smooth texture and a nutty taste including up to 20 vitamins and minerals; avocados have become one of the most nutritious and freshest foods in the world. A recent study has shown that people who eat salad with avocados will absorb carotenoid (including lycopene and carotene) 5 times higher than those who don’t.

At La Badiance, you can enjoy a variety of dishes with this wonderful fruit, especially the sweetest and most delicacy dish is Toast with avocado and beetroot coupled with feta cheese and crushed black olives. The fragrant crispy bread is mingled with the juicy of avocadoes, freshness of beetroot, the silkiness of feta cheese and crushed black olives. All are blended softly and you would surely fall in love with them right from the first taste.

4) Milk (aka Dairy)

Milk is an “opaque white liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals”. Now that sounds appetizing. Milk contains all essential amino acids.

• Whole milk
• Yogurt
• Cheese
• Eggs

The slightly bitter taste of grilled eggplant together with the pleasantly salty of goat cheese rich in nutrients rolled in a thin slice of Parma ham eatten with pesto & balsamic sauce. That would be promising experiences to try tastes of a mixture of different ingredients: salty milky cheese, bitter grilled eggplant, tasty Parma ham and fresh pesto & balsamic sauce.

5) Meat & Beans

Wait, didn’t we just say beans are a vegetable? Well, according to the USDA, they are in the Meat & Beans group too because they contain some protein. I don’t know about you, but I’m already starting to get confused. Meats include fish, beef, chicken, pork and other wildlife.

Finally, there is “Fat”, or oils, which are technically considered a separate food group, but few people acknowledge this

But no matter how much they love sweet stuff, the nutritious ingredients, rich in protein like meat, fish, shrimp and gallop; rich in fiber like tomato, eggplant and all types of veggie,… are still an essential source that provides energy for the body. The French lunch and dinner still consist of savory dishes, and if they have long a lunch break, French people would have a full 3-course lunch at a restaurant!

Come to La Badiane to enjoy our nutritious lunch and dinner courses!
